Frequently Asked Questions

How soon do you deliver the full video after the wedding day?
I guarantee delivery of the first draft of the full day-of highlight video within two months of your wedding date…and sometimes even sooner! The delivery date of the final draft, social cutdown, the “home video” cut, and speech recordings are all dependent on how many revisions you and your spouse come back with after the initial review of the highlight video, as I do give you the chance to make one round of changes.

What is your booking process?
First, you send me an email letting me know you are interested with your wedding date. If schedules line up and I am free to shoot, I will follow-up to schedule a phone call to talk through exactly what you want and to formalize the booking. Once payment is received and the contract is signed (required minimum 30 days before the wedding day), I will send a survey for you to complete that asks for your preferred video style, wedding venue details, your day-of schedule, priority shots I should capture, other things that are important to you, etc.

Are you willing to travel outside of Kansas City for weddings?
YES! I love to travel :). If schedules line up, I would be more than willing. However, all travel costs will be charged out-of-pocket and are not included in my wedding package pricing.

Do you use a second shooter?
Nope! At least most of the tme. By only using me, I can keep your costs down so I don’t have to pay someone else. The downside of this is, I am only one person and can only be in one place at a time. For instance, sometimes I don’t get the perfect shot of both the bride walking down the aisle and the groom reacting on the altar…but I can most definitely aim for one over the other if you have a preference. I also primarily only get footage of the women getting ready over the men. We can talk through all of the shots that are especially important to you before the big day so I can be sure to prioritize. If having a second-shooter to avoid this is a make-or-break for you, I can look into hiring someone additional for the day. But warning, prices will go up!

How do you choose your music?
Since re-entering the world of wedding videography this year, I no longer use un-licensed popular tracks for my videos. I do however have a couple of subscriptions to sites that give me access to lots of amazing licensed tracks to choose from. You can either tell me the vibe/sound you are going for, or send me other songs you like, and I can try to find something similar.

How long prior to my wedding day are you willing to book?
Up to the day before if my schedule allows :). Never hesitate to reach out! There is always a chance I might be free and could book it!
-
Can you record interviews of the couple and overlay it on the video?
For sure! I have the recording gear to do so if you want to. We can just make sure to set aside some time to capture that the day of.

Do you use a drone?
Not yet. But maybe sometime soon!
